Alliance4Life was Presented at Crowdhelix RTO Members Event

The Coordinator of Alliance4Life presented the experience of Alliance4Life with the WIDENING actions at the annual Crowdhelix RTO Members Event with KU Leuven which was held over two days on November 19-20.

The event gathered Research Centres, Universities, and Corporate Members that sought to strategically align their activities with the upcoming Horizon Europe programme, and to connect with peers across Europe and beyond. The Coordinator of Alliance4Life shared good practices and recommendations for the future of Horizon Europe based on the successful implementation of 56 WIDENING actions – Twinning, Teaming and ERA Chairs – which have been up to now implemented by Alliance4Life´s member institutions.

The panel discussion on Widening participation was introduced by two key note speakers. The first key note speaker, Stefan Weiers, Deputy Head of the Unit: Widening, European Commission, Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, Research & Innovation Outreach, ERA & Country Intelligence, provided an overview about the current plans for Horizon Europe. The second key note speaker was Slavo Radosevic, Professor of Industry and Innovation Studies at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES) at University College London, who gave a presentation focused on bridging the innovation gap in Europe. The panel discussion covered then presentations and discussions of speakers from KU Leuven and CELSA, Vilnius, Ljubljana, Brno and Alliance4Life.
