Core Facility Database and Open Access Call

The Alliance4Life member institutions offer access to technologies and services in the field of life sciences to study biologically important cellular components and macromolecules – proteins, nucleic acids, and their complexes at different resolution levels, ranging from atomic to cellular.

You will find the application form  below – this is relevant only for academic users.

This call is not intended for companies. Of course, we welcome cooperation with commercial partners and if you are interested to use the infrastructure listed in the database please feel free to contact core facilities and shared laboratories to inquire about the specific services you plan to use. We will gladly prepare a customized quotation based on your requirements. Contact information of core facilities and shared laboratories can be found in the database of services offered.



PROPOSAL SUBMISSION

A4L_BRIDGE call for proposals - CALL CLOSED

The next application cycle will open in February 2026.


The aim of this call for proposals is to open up the research infrastructure listed in the database to academic users coming from all Alliance4Life´s member institutions who will propose interesting scientific projects. Within one project proposal, the applicant can ask for one or more services/technologies from one or more partner institutions listed in the database.


The financial limit is 9,000 EUR per each individual Open Access project.

Who can submit the proposal?

  • Researchers working for Alliance4Life´s member institutions
  • Ph.D. or Master students of Alliance4Life´s member institutions

For the purpose of this call, the employment/student status of each applicant will be checked with HR/student department of the respective institution. Only cross-border applications will be supported. It is not possible to request the measurement in the country of the applicant's origin.

Acknowledgements

Publications resulting from work undertaken on Alliance4Life´s core facilities and service laboratories have to include an acknowledgement according to the following pattern:
