D2.1 Excellence map in Central and Eastern Europe

WP2 of the A4L_ACTIONS project focuses on building recognition and trust in research conducted in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). The first step was a bibliometric and grants analysis of Life Science institutions in CEE to identify pockets of excellence. Data on junior and senior grant holders was collected by the Grants and Funding Strategies Focus Group, revealing insights into how scientific excellence is supported in the region. CEITEC MU led a bibliometric study using the Web of Science database to identify top researchers, both established and emerging. The resulting database will guide the selection of participants for A4L Mini-Conferences, fostering collaboration and project development.
