The Central European Institute of Technology (CEITEC) at Masaryk University was established in 2009 as an independent institute focused solely on research. Since 2011, it operates as part of the CEITEC consortium consisting of four leading Brno universities and two research institutes combining life sciences, advanced materials and nanotechnologies. 

International Clinical Research Center (ICRC)

We are a modern center of scientific excellence oriented on preclinical and clinical research, mainly in the fields of cardiology, neurology and oncology. We search for new diagnostic and therapeutic methods, technologies and drugs. By putting our findings into practice, we improve patient care and quality of life. In July 2022, we became a joint workplace of St. Anne's University Hospital Brno (FNUSA) and the Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University (LF MU) in Brno.

Biomedical Research Center of the Slovak Academy of Sciences

Biomedical Research Center of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (BMC SAS) is currently the largest Slovak institution (>350 employees) devoted to basic and applied research in biomedical sciences. The University was established in 1949 and due to subsequent development, now it consists of five faculties.
